Hexa-X-II Project Releases Deliverable D4.2 on 6G Radio Design

The latest research deliverable, D4.2, from Hexa-X-II Project’s Work Package 4 (WP4), has been released, offering new insights into 6G radio design and spectrum access requirements for Hexa-X-II 6G use cases. The deliverable presents key 6G radio design enablers, backed by relevant key performance and value indicators (KPIs/KVIs).

Unpacking the Complexities of 6G Radio Design

The deliverable provides a thorough examination of the requirements for 6G radio design and spectrum access, specifically tailored for Hexa-X-II’s envisioned 6G use cases. It outlines representative radio scenarios and their performance metrics and value indicators that will serve as the yardstick for the evaluation of radio solutions.

Spotlight on Key Enablers and Future Developments

Within the scope of Hexa-X-II’s WP4, the deliverable identifies a range of key enablers for 6G radio design. These include aspects like flexible and trustworthy radio systems, novel waveforms, and intelligent radio air interfaces. Ongoing work on proofs-of-concept for these enablers are also highlighted, marking a step towards the first iteration of an end-to-end 6G system design within the Hexa-X-II project.
