The Hexa-X-II Project’s Work Package 6 (WP6) has released its latest deliverable, D6.3, which focuses on the “Initial Design of 6G Smart Network Management Framework“.
The deliverable aims to contribute to the Hexa-X-II end-to-end system blueprint design by providing a comprehensive analysis of management and orchestration (M&O) technical enablers and their initial implementation, along with preliminary evaluation results. These enablers collectively define the functionalities and objectives of a 6G network M&O system. They establish the technical foundation for:
- Programmable network configuration and monitoring
- Network capability exposure mechanisms
- Synergetic resource orchestration across a multi-domain network continuum, including the extreme-edge
- Zero-touch network automation
The deliverable also addresses advanced techniques for security and trustworthiness, incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms, and explores the use of network digital twins in M&O processes.
For a more detailed exploration, please read the full deliverable and check out the accompanying presentation.
