On September 23rd, 2024, approximately 60 participants gathered at the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre in The Hague for an exclusive event to discuss the future of 6G technology. The joint workshop between Hexa-X-II, the leading European SNS project, and the Dutch 6G National Initiative Future Network Services (FNS) was a success.
Mikko Uusitalo from Hexa-X-II: “We aim for one global standard for 6G with Europe in the lead. Therefore, active information exchange is vital to facilitate efficient joint creation of 6G. It is a pleasure that we were able to take good steps on that road during our joint meeting in the Hague.”

An Afternoon of Innovation and Collaboration
The “FNS-Hexa-X-II Workshop” was an event dedicated to knowledge exchange, identifying synergies, and networking in the field of 6G technology. This collaborative effort brought together Europe’s top 6G researchers for a day of exploration and innovation.

Knowledge Exchange: The workshop facilitated the exchange of the latest developments within each project.
Identifying Synergies: One of the workshop’s primary goals was to explore opportunities for synergy between FNS and Hexa-X-II.

The expert team from Hexa-X-II included Mikko A. Uusitalo, Patrik Rugeland, Mauro Renato Boldi, Edgar Ramos, Stefan Wendt, Ahmad Nimr, Jeroen Famaey, Sylvaine Kerboeuf and Ignacio Labrador Pavon.
The FNS Team consisted of: Paul Wijngaard, Jos Berière, Ronald Gelten, and Chrysa Papagianni.
